TAKE 10 MINUTES AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN TAHLEQUAH
1. Visit a website from our Resource "Links" list and educate yourself on the issues.
2. If you notice violence, speak out or seek help (Call 911). Don't remain silent!
3. Build a foundation of supportive connections in your neighborhood by saying "Hello."
4. Monitor what your children are watching on TV, in video games, and in movies to keep their entertatinment violence free.
5. Ask your pastor if he/she will preach on preventing domestic violence and promoting peaceful families.
6. Sign up to volunteer at Help-In-Crisis.
7. Practice and model respectful, non-violent behavior and healthy problem-solving in your relationships.
8. Tell people in your community that you support this Community Violence Prevention effort.
9. Ask the Prevention Coordinator to speak with your club, organization, or event.
10. Sign up to participate in our community violence prevention coalition.
