The Help In Crisis hotline has become a vital link for victims of domestic violence and their families.

The Court Advocacy Program offers support and assistance as survivors navigate complex and sometimes overwhelming court systems.

Rape and Sexual Assault Advocacy

If you are forced to have sex when you don’t want to, it is rape, even if you are married to your assailant.

Emergency Shelter

Each year, approximately 300 women and 300 children come through our shelter.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

A pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used by one partner to gain or maintain control over another intimate partner. There are many different forms of abuse in domestic violence such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, economic abuse, psychological abuse, threats, stalking, and cyberstalking.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Rape is a violent crime-a hostile attack, an attempt to hurt and humiliate. It is not the result of “uncontrolled passions”.
Rape can happen to anyone: students, working women, wives, mothers, children, grandmothers, and even males are the victims of rape.
