Board of Directors
An Oklahoma native, Crystal Ferrell grew up in Stigler, Oklahoma. Crystal attended the
University of Oklahoma and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Sociology/Criminology in 2001.
In 2005, Crystal moved out of the Sooner state to the Phoenix, Arizona area, where she
began her career in the real estate development industry, working for Arizona based
developer, DMB Associates. During her time with DMB, Crystal worked in a partnership
with Arizona State University’s Department of Community Development to develop and
facilitate philanthropic focused adult and youth leadership and volunteer programs for
the DMB owned community of Verrado. Crystal also served as a liaison for the
developer to create a cohesive, open dialogue with community partners including
builders, the residential community and local city officials.
During the real estate market downfall in 2006, 500 employees lost their jobs, whilst
DMB retained Crystal, advancing her role and responsibilities.
March 2011, Crystal accepted a position with the City of Tulsa Mayor’s office of
Economic Development and began serving the community of Tulsa as the liaison for
construction development. As liaison, Crystal was dedicated to easing the regulatory
challenges and streamlining the permitting and inspection processes, so businesses
could more easily launch, expand, relocate, and develop.
In 2015, Crystal was promoted to Construction & Retail Development Manager, serving
a dual role as liaison for construction development as well as retail development and
recruitment for the city of Tulsa.
In 2017, Crystal stepped down from her role with the City of Tulsa Mayor’s Office and
launched True North Development Group, (formerly Crystal Keller Consulting, LLC).
Since that time, Crystal’s company has specialized on the processes of real estate
development including feasibility studies & property analysis, land planning &
development, entitlement work; platting, zoning changes, utility locations &
connections, jurisdictional requirements, permitting process and jurisdictional
collaboration.
She has also worked within the real estate industry helping companies with businesses
development.
Crystal has worked in all facets of the real estate industry and skill set is attractive to
developers and potential property owners as she can complete in-depth research with a
comprehensive analysis of the property, while aiding in every aspect of the project until
completion.
On a personal level, Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband and their three
children on Lake Tenkiller, hiking and fishing.
