Your Role as a Car Support Volunteer:
Date of the Event: Starting June 20, 2024
Primary Responsibilities: Ensuring the safety and well-being of our walkers by providing transportation support, emergency assistance, and logistical help along the route.
Next Steps:
Volunteer Meeting:
We will be hosting a pre-event meeting to discuss the route, safety protocols, and your specific responsibilities. Details will be sent to you shortly.
Coordination and Communication:
You will be part of our dedicated support team. We will provide you with all necessary contact information and communication tools to ensure smooth coordination throughout the event.
Emergency Preparedness:
Your vehicle will be equipped with basic first aid, water, snacks, and other essentials to assist the walkers as needed.
On the Day:
We will provide you with a detailed schedule and map closer to the event date.
Please be prepared for a full day of support, and ensure your vehicle is in good working condition.
Your Impact:
Your contribution as a car support volunteer is invaluable. Not only are you ensuring the physical safety of our walkers, but you are also part of a larger effort to raise awareness and funds for Transition Housing for survivors of domestic violence.
